He has risen! Jesus is alive and has resurrected from the dead. But what did this all mean to them and what does it mean to us? Their Savior was alive according to His promises and that meant all their hopes and expectations in Him were alive. It has been said that the cross was the payment for our sins and the empty tomb was the receipt that the payment was accepted.
