John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
I love this verse because I know what it feels like to be in bondage, to have no freedom of choice or the power to carry it out. But instead your wrapped in chains that you cannot remove yourself. These are the chains of horrible sins, the ones you have no hope in this life of ever being set free from, they keep you hopeless and helpless. You ask yourself why can’t I stop? Why can’t I be normal? You know there is no hope of ever changing who you are or what you’re doing. The chains that grow stronger with each passing day have you in bondage.
Romans 6:16Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
1 Cor. 15:But thanks be to God …56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Col.1:13God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of the Son whom he loves,
those who are forgiven much love much. we love him because he first loved us.
Jesus bought me with His blood and set me free to live for Him forever.
My testimony is that as a teenager I was involved in drugs and running the streets that only grew worse the older I got. I also married a man that was involved in drugs and criminal activity and from that union we had 4 children that were awarded to the state this event cause me to run from the abusive relationship I was in and at that time when at my lowest point i met hector and he likes to call this chapter of our lives "someone to die with"
for we both were contemplating suicide at this time in both our lives we were lost and hopeless.
but God in His grace and mercy had other plans for us and after 3 years and the craziest path imaginable we both ended up being hauled away to LA county Jail. I was sentenced to 1 year and Hector 9Years in prison.
And that's where everything changed. unknowing to the others decision both of us gave our lives to Jesus in that dark pit. Jesus called my name August 1994 and without knowing anything of how the future would be, when I was confront by the cross of Jesus I was blown away at the love God had for me.
He wanted my life - I didn’t know why - I was a horrible terrible person and had done unforgiveable crimes.
in my heart I didn’t realize how much i needed His forgiveness
and that's what Jesus gave me through His death on the Cross.
when Jesus showed me what he did how he was tortured, beaten, ridiculed, and suffered to pay for what i did what i deserved- all in the name of Love and Freedom
i got on my knees threw my hands in the air and gave Jesus my life. I said Jesus I give my life to you take it. Instantly i was healed of anger, pain, addition, hatred and He gave me forgiveness, peace, joy grace love I am complete in him.
and now I live my life all for his glory.
alive in Christ, living for Him alone, fearless, unshakable committed faithful & true.
Totally surrendered to the Will of God. Does this mean I have no struggles? absolutely not! I live in my worst enemy, my flesh. I am still under construction like we all are until we reach perfection when Jesus takes us home.
My life was never the same Jesus in His grace and mercy allowed me win back my children to raise my children, Married Hector we had 3 children and have both been serving in full time ministry since 1999 we have had so many impossible sisutation that the God of the impossible has been faithful to see us through I know that one day I will see my savior face to face until then and for all eternity my life belongs to Jesus
