Anthony Costello

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago to a devout and loving Roman Catholic family, I fell away from my childhood faith as a young man. For years I lived a life of my own design-- a life of sin. But, at the age of 34, while serving in the United States Army, I set foot in my first Evangelical church. Hearing the Gospel preached, as if for the first time, I had a powerful, reality-altering experience of Jesus Christ. That day, He called me to Himself and to His service. His words to me were simple (and audible): "Now you are mine, and I have a new mission for you." I have walked with him ever since.
I wandered through many worldviews before coming to Christ, living both in decadence and austerity, trying on this religion and that spirituality. Yet it was Christ who broke through all the human pride and brought me into the love of the Father. After my conversion, a six-month deployment in a remote region of Afghanistan and a newfound love of Christian Apologetics convinced me of the truth, power, and the beauty of the Christian faith.
Only in Christ can we know the fullness of God as we experience the Messiah’s love (Ephesians 3:18-19). No power on earth: no army, no political force, no economic system, no intellectual or social movement can change the heart of a single man. Only the power of God in Christ can transform us. I hope to share something of that transformative power with you.
